The Author of a course wears a silver single knot bar on the College ribbon. Past Deans have a silver double knot bar on the College ribbon. Current Deans wear the silver double knot with the gold frame around the ribbon. Stars cannot worn on any of these ribbons. Current Deans are required to wear their Dean status. Same requirements as FCA - Class I, but of a lesser degree than that required for Class I.
Nomination for MFI Award:
Any MFI member may nominate a lower ranking or lower position MFI member for any MFI award, excluding the Order of the Maquis, within the following guidelines:
The Awards Board:
The Board shall consist of:
The Chief of Operations
The Head of the Membership Dept
The Head of the Awards Division
Misc:
It should be noted that none of the above is required to be followed by any Cell/Unit. Nor is any Cell/Unit required to submit candidates for awards, such as the Rebel of the Year Award. This division strongly recommends that no Cell/Unit copies any shown ribbon or device, with the exception of the multiple award designators. In recognition of the sacrifices made by the serving Armed Forces worldwide, MFI specifically refrains from using the same ribbons associated with those groups. We ask that our member cells and units follow our lead, and likewise refrain from using the actual insignia or awards of any Military Unit in honor of those who have "Served on our Behalf".

Here are the actual physical ribbons that can be purchased to be altered into Maquis ribbons. We are still working on sources for the Gold
